2 BHK interior cost in Bengaluru: a line-by-line breakdown

Most 2 BHK homes we work on in Bengaluru land between ₹4.9 lakh and ₹8 lakh plus GST. That is a wide range, and the reason is simple: the same flat can be done with laminates and standard hardware, or with acrylic shutters, profile lighting and fluted panelling. This guide breaks down where the money goes so you can decide where to spend and where to save.

The big two: kitchen and wardrobes

In almost every 2 BHK, the modular kitchen and the wardrobes take 55 to 60% of the budget. They are the most used, the most built, and the hardest to change later, so this is where we suggest you put your money first.

  • Modular kitchen: an L-shaped or parallel kitchen up to 10 ft starts around ₹1.9 lakh with laminate shutters and a quartz top.
  • Wardrobes: a 7 ft hinged wardrobe with a loft starts around ₹65,000. Sliding shutters, mirrors and internal lighting add to this.
  • Shutter finish is the single biggest price lever. Laminate is the most economical, acrylic and PU cost more but give a smoother, glossier look.

Living, dining and ceilings

The TV unit, shoe rack, crockery unit and false ceiling make up most of the rest. A wall-mounted TV unit with a back panel is a modest line item. Full-wall fluted panelling, stone cladding or backlit niches are where living room costs climb.

A peripheral gypsum ceiling in the living and dining area with cove lights and spot lights is usually a smaller part of the budget than people expect, and it changes how the home feels at night more than almost anything else.

What is usually not in the package

  • Loose furniture such as sofas, mattresses and dining chairs
  • Appliances, chimney, hob and RO purifier
  • Civil changes beyond minor patchwork, such as moving a kitchen sink
  • Curtains, rugs and decor

None of these are hidden. They are simply quoted separately so you only pay for what you choose. Ask any firm you are comparing to list them clearly.

How to read an itemised quote

A good quote lists every unit with its size, carcass material, shutter finish and hardware. If a quote says only “kitchen, lump sum”, you cannot compare it with anyone else and you cannot hold anyone to it. Check that the plywood grade (BWP or MR), the countertop thickness and the hinge type are written down, and that GST is shown as a separate line.
