How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

This policy explains how DesignO Spaces ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website, our experience centre, phone, WhatsApp and email. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
What we collect
- Details you give us: name, mobile number, locality or pincode, property type, possession timeline, budget range and any message you add to our consultation form. When you submit the form, these details are emailed to our team so a designer can call you back. If the email cannot be sent, the form offers to send the same details to us on WhatsApp instead.
- Project details: floor plans, photos of your home, measurements, design preferences, and billing details such as address and GST number when you book.
- Website usage: basic technical data such as browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit, used to keep the site working and secure.
- Saved looks: design ideas you save on the website are stored only in your own browser and are not sent to us.
Why we use it
- To call you back, arrange a consultation and prepare designs and quotes you asked for.
- To deliver your project: agreements, invoices, site updates, handover and warranty service.
- To reply on WhatsApp about your enquiry and, if you ask for them, send design ideas and offers.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, including GST records.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form, and for the legitimate uses allowed under the Act, such as completing a contract you have entered into with us.
WhatsApp and calls
When you message us on WhatsApp, we reply there and may share project updates and design ideas. You can stop design ideas and offers at any time by replying STOP or telling your designer. We will still contact you about an active project or warranty request.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with:
- Service providers who host our website, deliver our email (such as Resend) and provide messaging (such as WhatsApp), only to provide those services.
- Banks and NBFCs, only if you apply for EMI through us.
- Government authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a project are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Project and billing records are kept for as long as your warranty runs and as long as tax laws require, usually 8 years.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
- Withdraw your consent and ask us to erase your data, unless we must keep it by law or to complete your project.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is stored with access limited to the team members who need it, protected by passwords and encryption in transit. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
